Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world with scenery of magnificent natural beauty and a cradle of ancient civilizations.
On its shores lies Titilaka. For us, in addition to a beautiful and exclusive luxury hotel, it is a refuge from which you can explore ruins, visit communities, and walk ancient trails surrounded by breathtaking scenery while enjoying a unique space, outstanding cuisine, and a fabulous spa.
While a varied selection of activities a la carte awaits you, we have designed a four-day program, creating a good balance between nature, community, and culture.
This experience begins in the city of Juliaca, in the province of Puno in southern Peru. Juliaca is an easy flight from Lima or Cusco.
Titilaka Lodge, located on a peninsula southeast of the lake, shares this space with only the indigenous Aymara community.
Witness how the sky becomes tinged with bright orange, as it forms one of the best sunsets in the world.
As night falls, the clear skies of Lake Titicaca and the serenity of the Altiplano make the region a perfect place for astronomical observations. Learn about the movement of the stars, the constellations, and the Milky Way, better known here as Warawara Hawira.
In the morning, visit the floating islands of the Uros communities. You have probably never been on a floating island before. These are unique because they are handmade using a vegetable fiber called totora.
See firsthand the extraordinary heritage and ancestral techniques used to keep the islands afloat.
In the afternoon, visit Taquile, an island inhabited since pre-Inca times. Taquile has several archeological sites, many terraces, and an extensive network of trails that connect all parts of the island.
The current population maintains its traditional customs, indigenous clothes, and socio-political system. In addition, the Taquileños are recognized for their talent as musicians and weavers. Their textile art has led them to be recognized by UNESCO as a Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Cycling through the fields of Platería is, without a doubt, a memorable experience. The route skirts the shores of the lake through beautiful trails and rural roads that allow you to observe the daily life of the local inhabitants, always under the electric blue sky of Lake Titicaca.
Chef María Fe García has managed to fuse ancestral techniques and Andean ingredients in an exquisite cuisine that will delight even the most demanding palate. Experience the flavor of the Andes and enjoy another beautiful sunset at the top of the world.
In the morning, we leave Lake Titicaca’s waters, its sunsets, the warmth of its people, and its millenary culture to return to the airport in Juliaca.
