On board the Andean Explorer, indulge yourself with a spa service, unique treatments using select Andean products.
Enjoy sunrise on the shores of South America’s largest lake. After an exquisite breakfast on board, begin to explore it. Visit the floating islands of Uros, millenary and unusual islands handmade with a native vegetable fiber called totora. Visit Taquile, an island stopped in time and guardian of millenary customs.
Have an outdoor lunch in Kullata, a beach in front of the snow-capped mountains of the Real Boliviana Mountain Range, accompanied by a show of typical dances and textile demonstrations. It is worth mentioning that UNESCO has recognized the textile art of Taquile as a Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Return to the station and board the train to Maranganí, a town located 150 km.(99miles) from the city of Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire.
Continue through the high Andean punas until you reach Raqchi, an important archeological complex surrounded by an enormous Inca wall. Visit its precincts and enter the world of the Incas.
Enjoy a delicious brunch on board and finally arrive at the Wanchaq train station in the city of Cusco.
