A passionate, innovative, and award-winning master brewer will introduce you to the world of beer, the oldest alcoholic beverage of mankind.
Thanks to his extensive knowledge and fun stories, you will take a journey through time from its origins in the Middle East to its contemporary practices, passing through the Andean version of our millenary fermented drink: chicha de Jora, also known as the nectar of the Incas.
For a moment, your host will stop brewing beer at the request of the best chef in the world to walk together with you through the plant of the Sacred Valley Brewery, where you will learn the basic concept of beer, its ingredients, and the modern way of brewing.
You will then visit Doña XX to learn about the historical side of this peculiar sprouted corn called Jora, its consumption in the Andean world, and its ancestral preparation process.
Finally, you will go to the Andean Distillery, a project directed by our friend Joaquín Randall, a laboratory where creative minds produce the world’s only whiskey distilled from jora and barley, among other fascinating projects.
In the distillery gardens, surrounded by native vegetable terraces, enjoy a delicious Pachamanca, a typical Peruvian dish where meats and vegetables are cooked in the heat of preheated stones under the earth, just as our ancestors did.

Our experiences are designed considering the least possible exposure, where the final destinations are usually remote places. By their very nature, our adventure activities are considered to be low risk, mainly because they are performed outdoors where ventilation is constant and making it easy to achieve social distancing.
