In the company of Alejandro Lira, a distinguished Peruvian historian, discover Lima’s history, which began to take shape over three thousand years ago when ancient civilizations built important archaeological centers that we can still visit today. One of them is the Huaca Pucllana, the starting point of your journey through the capital.
Continue exploring the worldview and history of Ancient Peru through more than thirty-five thousand textiles, ceramics, gold and silver objects in the Larco Museum, an eighteenth-century viceregal house considered one of the best museums in the world.
You will go forward in time to the viceregal era as we visit the historic center of Lima. A sample of almost three centuries of Spanish conquest can be seen in its imposing colonial architecture. It has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Later in the afternoon, together with Ignacio, discover more about our roots through the flavors of the most famous drink in Peru: pisco, a grape distillate produced in these lands since the end of the sixteenth century.
We will visit three epic bars for this experience, each with a different approach to tasting pisco, from drinking it pure to turning it into a Pisco Sour and several other cocktails. We invite you to a private villa in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas to taste a “Pachamanca,” a traditional meal very representative of the Peruvian Andes. It consists of cooking different ingredients underground with hot stones, earth, and herbs, a millenary technique that dates back to pre-Incan cultures in the fifth century.

A train will take you directly to Km 104 (Mile 64), the starting point of the trek. Along the way, with a spectacular view of the Urubamba Valley, visit the remains of Chachabamba and the impressive archeological complex of Wiñay Wayna, built by the Inca Pachacutec in the fifteenth century.

Today the cruise takes you to visit the Devil’s Crown, an underwater volcanic crater almost entirely covered by Galápagos waters and home to a spectacular underwater world of coral reefs and abundant marine species. Hike beautiful trails, paddle kayaks, and snorkel while exploring in a unique way the beautiful Santiago Island and North Seymour islands.
On the first island, visit the “Chinese Hat”, a small islet located off the island’s south coast. On the latter, explore Seymour Island, with its low, flat beach created by the uplift of submarine lava formations. It is also home to blue-footed boobies and the largest colony of the magnificent frigatebirds in the Galapagos.

In the morning, visit Darwin Bay, the only sandy beach found in the Genovesa Caldera and learn more about the seabirds that inhabit these islands, especially the frigatebirds. Watch as the males court the females displaying their red balloon pouch in search of a mate.
Crossing a Scalesia forest, habitat of the long-eared owl, take a stroll until you reach the Barranco, where you can observe large colonies of masked boobies, frigatebirds, storm petrels, and ducks.

To bid farewell to these magical lands, we will visit the Twin Craters, two huge land depressions, almost 30 meters deep. At the same time, we will be surrounded by a Scalesia forest with abundant birds such as the yellow warbler and the vermilion flycatcher.
