Crossing the open fields on the Sacred Valley of the Incas tour takes us to Huaypo, a beautiful and secluded lagoon perched high in the Andes.
Explore Huaypo by sailing on sailboatss, and learn how this lake is linked to the surrounding communities and crop fields, and observe the endemic birds that inhabit it as you glide amidst the reflection of the surrounding mountains and snow-capped peaks.
On the shores of Huaypo, enjoy a delicious luxury picnic in the outdoors.
Continue by car to the famous salt mines of Pichingoto, an impressive conglomerate of over three thousand wells where salt has been stored from the times of the Inca Empire to the present day.

Explore one of the most beautiful areas of the Sacred Valley on Specialized bikes, 29” rim, disc brakes, and double suspension. From the village of Cruzpata, you will ride along a short and easy path to the town of Maras, crossing vast crop fields with a spectacular view of the snow-capped peaks of Verónica and Chicón.
Here you will leave the bikes to continue by car to the circular terraces of Moray, an enigmatic Inca agricultural laboratory.

Walk around the winding cobblestone streets of Ollantaytambo, amidst old stone houses and canals in which water has been flowing for centuries. Immerse yourself in a town that seems to be frozen in time, reflecting the extraordinary urban planning of the Incan times.
Explore its impressive fortress, built right next to the village on the slopes of a beautiful mountain. This site served as a religious, agricultural, and military center during the Inca period.
After lunch in a renowned restaurant in town, board a luxury train travel through awe-inspiring landscapes to Machu Picchu town.

Take the day to explore Machu Picchu at length. Discover the Inca’s history as you walk through squares, temples, fountains, monuments, and residences of the most important religious, political, and cultural center of the Empire.
Optionally, you can climb to the summit of Huayna Picchu, a natural viewpoint that allows you to appreciate the citadel from a different angle. There you will see the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding mountains and the Urubamba Canyon.
In the afternoon, you will board the train that will take you back to the city of Cusco.

Walk through a short and easy trail the last stretch of an ancient Inca road. Start at the little-known ruins of the Moon Temple through a road that will lead you directly to the main square after passing by the bohemian district of San Blas. The main square is the convergence of over thirty thousand kilometers of roads connecting the empire.
After lunch in the city, through a workshop, discover the world of chocolate and learn how we eat and drink it in Peru. Native to the Americas, cacao grows in the high jungle of Peru, where extraordinary varieties are produced, making us one of the best chocolate producers in the world.
Learn about the origin and history of cacao. Experience the process of making chocolate from the beans to a bar. In addition, try a drink prepared from this delicious fruit, just as our ancestors did.

Crossing communities, lakes, agricultural fields, and cattle ranches of the Southern Valley, you arrive from Cusco at the small village of Tinki, where the local muleteers will give you a warm welcome. With their horses, they carry the equipment along the route. Their millenary beliefs and traditions will add a deeper connection to the places you will be exploring along this trail.
This route begins with a slight ascent within view of the snow-capped Ausangate, a sacred mountain for the inhabitants of this region. Among lakes surrounded by rock formations and the typical landscape of the Andean puna, you will reach Upis to glamping camp and relax in the remoteness of the Andes.

While Ausangate is impressive, Azulcocha, the deep blue lake that rises from its thaws and reflects the splendor of the snow-capped mountain over its waters, is a gift for all the senses. To reach it, we will ascend a hillside to the Surpampa Pass.
Camp and spend a night under a thousand stars in one of the most beautiful and remote places in the Peruvian Andes.

There are few treks for which you camp two nights in the same place; and, in this case, Azulcocha is completley worth it, given its spectacular beauty.
We will leave the luxury campsite to visit Pachaspata, a viewpoint from which we will have a spectacular view of the snow-capped peaks and surrounding mountains, which hide at their bases another beautiful lagoon.

Continue along a wide trail to Pacchanta, a small community that will allow you to observe the ancient customs and traditions of the Andean inhabitants and enjoy some relaxing time in the natural hot springs.
