Santiago Ibañez

Santiago, as well as his brother Diego, is the son of the "Cholo Ibañez" one of the pioneers of Kayaking in Peru.

Some years ago he began paddling with the first Kayaking School and evinced wide aptitude and skill in the sport.

Time and experience have led him to boating a variety of rivers and participating in diverse expeditions throughout Peru and other areas of South America.

Santiago, also fluent in English as well as Spanish, has an effervescent personality coupled with a natural compassion that makes him magnetic.

Over time, Santiago has become an excellent security kayaker, as well as an all-round rafting, biking and trekking guide. He is certified by Swift Water Rescue and Wilderness First Aid. Santiago is yet one more of the talented members of the Terra Explorer Peru team
