In November 2006 I completed a white water rafting trip of the Cotahausi Canyon with Terra Explorer Peru.
Right from the word go I knew instinctively that I was in the company of a professional, talented group of top guides. Throughout the trip it was confirmed that I was travelling with the best of best.
The trip consists of a fantastic scenic walk into the base of the canyon, then several days on the river - camping on the beautiful banks of the Canyon over these nights before coming to an end near the coast.
We were treated to camp meals of five star quality - all prepared by the humourous, intellegent guides accompanying our travels, beautiful scenery, exploration opportunity's through Inca Ruins lining the Canyon walls which contain human bones, pottery and even clothing - all preserved due to the dry heat, topped off by the company of the native Peruvian guides sharing the history and the humour of Peru with us.
I could not reccomend any trip more highly. This was a professional, exciting, thrilling adventure with fantastic, friendly, energetic, qualified guides - one that can only be defined as the adventure of a lifetime.
Good on you Terra Peru!!
